On Thursday we decided to head back to the ocean. The lady we were renting the townhome from said we could go to a nearby Hilton and use their pool and it was right by the ocean. We decided to head there so we could have the beach and when the kids got tired of that, go to the pool since they can't really swim in the ocean. This beach was nicer than the other area we went on Sunday. It had more seashells and the water didn't get deep quite so quickly.
Kelly decided he needed to do SOMETHING active so he went for a jog and then did some burpees. I declined to join him. I was too deep in vacation mode.
Cason collected seashells and played in the water with Kelly. Tate collected seashells and played with his beach ball. Bryce just played in the sand.
When the kids got tired of the beach, we headed to the hotel pool just steps away. It had a great kiddie area that was just over a foot deep and a waterfall the kids enjoyed. It also had a deeper area, 4 or 5 feet deep so we took the kids to that side to swim as well. They all did great. Tate swam with just one floatie on his arm, he didn't want to wear the other one. Bryce mostly clung to me but he did jump (fall) into the pool several times and even got his face wet without being bothered too much. Cason jumped in a bunch of times as well and let Kelly dunk him completely under several times as well. I'm not sure he knew what to think about it. He didn't seem thrilled but he didn't seem upset either. Maybe there's hope for swim lessons for next summer after all.
