Happy Birthday Cason!

We wanted to do something fun and special for Cason's birthday today. We searched all over the internet but kept striking out. We had already been to the aquarium, the alligator farm, and the beach and/or pool three times this week. I looked for a water park but they were all pretty pricey considering we'd only be there for maybe two hours total. There are a bunch of carnival type places with kiddie rides we really thought the boys would enjoy but NONE of them opened before noon. Seriously. Apparently, everyone else vacationing in Myrtle Beach sleeps in. Unlike our boys who were up at 6:30 Eastern every single day, 5:30 Central. So the best idea we could come up with was to go to an arcade and let the boys play the games to the best of their abilities. We went to Broadway at the Beach for two reason. One is because they have the only arcade we knew about. The other reason is they have paddle boats and a carousel. Turns out those don't open until noon either so sadly, the arcade was the only fun thing the boys could do.

Cason was in water fount(ain) heaven all week long. We couldn't go anywhere without seeing a dozen or so water founts.

Of course we had to stop at one of the many fudge/taffy/sweets shops along the way. Cason and I shared some chocolate dipped marshmallows (super awesome, I'll have to remember that one), and we let him get some chocolate dipped pretzels as well. Kelly was double dog dared to eat this chocolate dipped jalepeno. He said it wasn't too bad. You wouldn't think chocolate and jalepeno would go together well but he said they actually complimented each other fairly well.

Then we saw one of those cool water fountain type things where the water sprays up from the ground and changes which holes it comes out of.

Cason doesn't like to get wet and is constantly concerned about getting water in his eyes so he preferred to watch from the bench.

Thanks Dave for these cool shots.

Then we finally found the arcade and let the boys do whatever they wanted.

With the tickets he won, Cason picked out five small snakes...

and a ball for Rycie.

And after nap, Alissa and Dave surprised Cason with a bubble maker, which he loved.

Happy Birthday Cason! We love you and hope you had a great day!

Happy Birthday Cason - sounds like it was a great day at the Beach. Nothing better than fun, sun and ocean view!
