CrossFit gym today

Today at the CrossFit gym, Kelly set a personal record (and gym record) of 18 muscle ups.

We also signed Cason up to start Rob's CrossFit Kids program next month. More on that to come.

I don't work out at CrossFit gym. They don't have childcare so it's not a great option for me right now. But I often stop by with Kelly and hang out a bit and Rob is always asking me to do the baseline workout. The baseline workout is a simple workout that all the members do when they get started to establish their fitness level. It consists of rowing 500 meters on the rowing machine, 40 air squats, 30 sit ups, 20 push ups, and 10 jumping pull ups. It's a timed exercise and everyone's time is written up on the white board. I've always had an excuse (I'm wearing my glasses, I don't have a hair tie, etc) and have been putting it off. But I finally decided to suck it up and do the workout to get Rob off my back:) So this morning we all went to the gym with Kelly and I got warmed up. I ended up getting the best time of any of the women (and most of the guys). I did it in 4 minutes and 54 seconds and I even beat Rob's time by 4 seconds. Then I went out back and puked. I have never, ever puked after working out in my life until today so that just shows how hard I was trying. Oh, and I forgot until after I was done that I'm not supposed to work out for 3 days following the LASIK. Oh well, it's not like I was lifting heavy weights.
