6 years

In just
6 years, we have gone home
5 times. We've lived in
4 different states and Kelly has had
3 different pilot jobs.
2 beautiful boys later and
1 house to call home,
I am so blessed.
Happy anniversary, Kelly!

At our MOPS meeting last week, they always honor the birthdays and anniversaries each month. When they asked me what we were doing for our anniversary, I was too embarrassed to tell them so I just kind of shrugged. The truth is that Bryce is kind of iffy on being left. He does great at church most of the time but the few times I left him with Kelly to run errands, he screamed the entire time. So we decided that this year we would celebrate by making skookies on our anniversary:

This time we went with the triple chocolate chunk peanut butter cookies. That's right, there is cocoa, chocolate chips, huge chunks of Hershey's chocolate bar, and huge chunks of Reese's Peanut Butter Cup in these things. It takes a LOT of sugar to reach my limit but I think I have reached my limit for the day.

We will continue celebrating tomorrow when we hit up the Pizza Hut lunch buffet. We are pretty simple (boring) people and we tend to stick to about 5 tried and true favorites when we go out to eat. Pizza Hut buffet is one of Kelly's favorite cheat meals and we go once every few months. To be honest, we both enjoy the Hut more than any fancy restaurant.

We figure that we will make up for our lame anniversary celebrations in a few years by doing something REALLY awesome. Something like Air Combat USA, a trip somewhere tropical, white water rafting, etc.

Happy Anniversary!!! I understand about being simple. It's the best way to go most of the time. Y'all enjoy your day!

I hope you had a great anniversary and I'm SUPER jealous of your skookies. I know that next time we come down you will have them perfected and ready to share with us.
