First REAL haircut

Cason has had his hair cut many times by me and my clippers. But he has never had his hair cut by a professional until today. The faux hawk hasn't been looking so good lately. I think his hair got too long for it and it just looked bad. So I wanted to grow his hair out a bit to see what it would look like. It was in that awkward phase between short and long where it would start to poke out over his ears. I wanted to push through the awkward phase and see how it looks a little longer but Kelly missed the faux hawk. Go figure. When Cason was a baby, I always tried doing a faux hawk and Kelly always laughed at me and called Cason a rooster. You know, because of the red hair and all. Kelly insisted that "every little kid I see has a faux hawk" and that it was too trendy. Now he likes it more than I do.

I thought maybe I was cutting his hair wrong so we would take him to a kids salon and watch how the stylist cut his hair. It turns out to be really easy to do so I will probably just trim it up from now on, at least while we keep it styled like this. We thought $18 for a two year old's hair cut was a bit steep.

The "before" picture

Yes, he kept this "deer in the headlights" look on his face the entire time.

And the "after" pictures.

How adorable! We used to go to the same place until I realized Great Clips does just as good of a job for almost half the price.
