The Wednesday before Easter, my MOPS group had an Easter egg hunt at the park for the kids. I invited my friend Lacy, who brought her two boys. Josiah and Cason's birthdays are exactly one week apart.
Checking out their loot. All the moms brought 12 filled eggs and each kid got to pick up 12 eggs so everything stayed pretty even. I liked that we didn't come home with massive amounts of candy.
Our church was expecting big crowds on Sunday and were encouraging regular attenders to come to the Saturday night service so we did just that. The boys looked cute so I tried to take their picture before we headed to church but that didn't work out at all.
Bryce's Easter basket: several board books, some touch and feel cards, new silverware, some duck cups for the bath/water table, and some teething biscuits.
Cason's Easter basket: An I Spy book (big hit), Color Wonder stuff, new markers, a Curious George coloring book, new silverware, no-spill bubbles (total lies, they do spill), one book, and a few Easter eggs I "recycled" from the egg hunt.
And the highlight of our Sunday: carrot cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, both of which I made from scratch. Kelly ate SEVENTEEN of these in about a 24 hour span. They were that good.

Seventeen? Kelly Gehling? Did you remind him about last summer when his hands turned orange from all the beta carotene?
Oh, and the best part about posting late about Easter - it's not like in 5 years you will even know it was late, the date always changes!
I think it's really funny that all our boys were wearing orange that day, and we didn't plan it! And send me the carrot cake recipe and the cream cheese one if you don't mind. Chris loves carrot cake.
