I got an awesome new DSLR camera for Christmas. Which I love. And have no idea how to use. So I wanted to post some of the first pictures I took with it. I hope to improve and then 6 months or a year from now, look back on these pictures and laugh. I know I have focus issues and exposure issues. I probably have a multitude of other problems that I know nothing about right now. I have the highly recommended Understanding Exposure book and reading it is on the top of my to do list. These are all taken in fully automatic mode. If anyone has any advice for me, I'd love to hear it. I know that at least 4 of my regular blog readers have DSLR cameras so constructive criticism is definitely welcome!
Very cute! I love the one with him eating the dog. You've got a really good eye for composition and all the knowledge of manual mode in the world can't get you that. I think you are off to a FANTASTIC start. I could CC exposure, but on auto, that wasn't your fault anyway. ;) The only thing that I will say is to watch limb chopping. It's not something I ever really thought about before someone brought it to my attention. But, a few of those would have been even better if feet or legs, etc. hadn't been cut off.
Wonderful photos of the boys! They are getting to be so big. We are in CALI still and it's really nice out. Had a great christmas with Kevin, Randy and other boys that were here. Fun, fun, miss ya.

What type of camera did you get? :)
Yay! You went Canon! I <3 my Canon. I have an XT which is the older version of yours. :)
I think you did a great job!
